Carnaval Latino Celebrates Latin American Culture in New Orleans

Latin American cultural influence is alive and thriving in New Orleans, so naturally, we are kicking off Hispanic Heritage Month in style! Latin rhythms, spices and colors have always blended effortlessly with New Orleans’ music, food and art – so where better to celebrate Carnaval Latino than the Crescent City?

From September 13 to 15, visitors can enjoy this Big Easy style celebration of Latin American culture in New Orleans. Attendees can enjoy Latin cuisine and crafts while swaying to the beat of an international lineup of performing artists, as well as some popular local bands that showcase the heritage and cultural diversity of Latin America.

The Krewe of Quetzal will kick off the celebrations with the Parade of the Americas, where each float will celebrate its national roots with music and special custom throws. Don’t miss this opportunity to be “en ese numero.” The Parade will march on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 6:00 p.m., from Elysian Fields Avenue to Convention Center Boulevard.
