The Louisiana Derby has long been a New Orleans tradition now held annually at the Fair Grounds Race Course. Many come out to see which thoroughbred will take home the one million dollar purse at the end of the day and this year, there’s even more excitement surrounding the event as the Derby celebrates its 100th birthday on March 30. In celebration, the Derby is opening the green space within the oval track for the Infield Festival which will feature concerts and a large food truck gathering with a chance to watch the one million dollar horse race up close! This is the first time the green space has been open to the public on a live racing day since the 1930s so you definitely won’t want to miss it! It will definitely provide quite a view, just like this one captured by Dustinl on Instagram!
