Super Bowl XLVII Social Media Highlights

As the last visiting Super Bowl fans head back home and New Orleans ramps up for Mardi Gras, the entire city is still smiling with pride as we reflect on what an incredible week we had. New Orleans came together to open our arms and welcome the country to experience our cuisine, culture and music for a week-long celebration in true New Orleans style! With free festivals on the Mississippi River, to second lines parading through the New Orleans French Quarter and volunteers on every corner, we showed the rest of the country just how marvelous this city really is.

From halftime show superstar Beyoncé to Neil Patrick Harris and Katy Perry, celebrities came from far and wide to come down to New Orleans and experience the Crescent City! It wasn’t all just fun and games. Things got serious as 5,000 credentialed media descended upon New Orleans to broadcast their experience during the week-long lead up to the Super Bowl. They had the all-access pass to the behind-the-scenes press conferences, interviews and events and we were thrilled to see their reaction to the wonderful culture, cuisine and our southern hospitality!
