When asked what my favorite food is, the answer is always bread. That is pertinent information to understanding why I love the Maple Street Patisserie as much as I do. A key ingredient in their success is their master baker, who brought his European technique of adding very little sugar and no chemicals to New Orleans. Not only is he making a better product for all of us, but he is also known for offering a little lagniappe every time you come by. So whether you’re grabbing a delicious pastry, or a tangy fruit tart, you’re bound to get a little something extra and we all know, it doesn’t get much better than that.
