Warning: Your taste buds may suffer from under-tantalization this festival season if not provided with the appropriate soul-infusion. Fortunately, that fate can be avoided at this year’s annual Chaz Fest, where you will find soulful treats from The Joint such as pork sandwiches, chaurice sausages, and coleslaw. In addition to delicacies from The Joint, this OffBeat Magazine-named “Best Neighborhood Festival” will feature local musicians from the Frenchmen Street and Ninth Ward music scenes, vegetarian and Asian-fusion cuisine, varieties of sake, and specialty cocktails. Stop by Wednesday, May 2 at the Truck Farm, 3020 St. Claude Avenue, where the music will be playing from 12 p.m. – 10 p.m.!
