GoNOLA Flickr Pick of the Week: King Cake

If it’s not painfully obvious by now, we’re kind of obsessed with king cakes at the moment, as is the rest of New Orleans. Once it was socially and ritualistically acceptable on Twelfth Night, it seemed like everyone in the city scrambled to their bakery of choice to pick up the first king cake of the Carnival season. New Orleans considers all breeds of the king cake enthusiast: frosting lovers, frosting loathers, filling addicts and those who prefer liquid king cake in the form of Lucky Player’s new King Cake Vodka.
