This week, a lot happened in New Orleans and it made an impression in other territories. Foreign ambassadors toured the city as part of a world peace initiative, the Saints coach adapts to a temporary coaching method and a New Orleans band is in New York for CMJ. As always, there was a wealth of interesting stories on New Orleans to be found around the World Wide Web this week. Here are some of the highlights:

NOLA Goes Green: New Orleans gets praise from the U.S. Department of Energy for the launch of NOLA Wise, a $1.7 million project allowing participants to save on cost of living by using energy efficient products and practices in their homes.

An injured Sean Payton, the Saints coach who was on the receiving end of a sideline collision during last week’s game against the Buckaneers, went to check out his new game day digs in the Superdome up in the booth with the assistant coaches. He’ll be coaching the black and gold from above ground while he recoops from surgery.

Ariane Trahan, creator of Easy Apple, a company devoted to connecting New Orleans and New York musicians, recaps the first two days of the CMJ music festival currently underway in New York. Her friends and NOLA rockers, The Revivalists closed out one of the shows on the first day.

The members of one of our favorite NOLA brass bands are Grammy hopefuls! @rebirthbb: Rebirth of New Orleans CD is eligible for a Grammy in a Roots music category. Tell everyone you know, show your love for The Rebirth!

Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming film slated to start filming in New Orleans in January, Django Unchained, already has an impressive bill of actors who’ve signed on. Now Joseph Gordon-Levitt is rumored to be joining.

We love that this is a “problem.” From @WheresAndrew: The problem w/ New Orleans is there’s not enough meals in the day to hit all the awesome restaurants. Who’s ready for lunch?
