Jayna Morgan is the matriarch of the Frenchmen Street music scene. She sings in a classic older American style so popular among New Orleans musicians now, like with the other artists in our Musician Series, Meschiya Lake and Luke Winslow-King. The Sazerac Sunrise Band adds to Jayna’s swagger, backing her up with their lively brand of traditional swing. We’re spoiled to have her play weekly gigs like many of her contemporaries. See her at the Balcony Music Club on Esplanade and Decatur in the French Quarter every Saturday from 6-9 p.m. or at The Maison on Frenchmen every Monday from 7-10 p.m.
