Watch out New York: New Orleans is comin for ya – in the form of sweaty, garden variety testosterone. I’m referring of course to the 610 Stompers, New Orleans’ finest and most ferocious male dance troupe. The Stompers take over the streets of Manhattan at the iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 24. The dancing fools are something of an overnight sensation after their public debut during the epic 2009 Saints season. They will arrive in New York with an impressive repertoire of performances from Saints Games, Mardi Gras parades and the Tonight Show. These dudes have more than fancy footwork; they have a flair for altruism. They’ve danced in many charity fundraisers for organizations like the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Bridge House and A Shared Initiative. One thing’s for sure – once the 610 Stompers infiltrate the Macy’s Parade, New York will never be the same again.

Don’t miss the send-off party for the Stompers on Nov. 11 before they embark on the Big Apple. A dress rehearsal of sorts, the party at the Howlin Wolf will be Macy’s Parade themed and will double as the launch of their 2012 Calendar of Masculinity.
