GoNOLA Flickr Pick of the Week: Beignets at Cafe du Monde

If you’ve ever visited New Orleans and not had a beignet at Cafe du Monde, you did something wrong. Truly one of my greatest guilty pleasures is a plate of beignets and an iced cafe au lait from Cafe du Monde. These people have the right idea! Here’s a locals tip: if you get the beignets to go, they will put them in a paper bag. This is great because you take a few bites, put the beignet back in the bag and shake it up, instantly covering it in more delicious powdered sugar.
