GoNOLA Flickr Pick of the Week: Mint Julep

I don’t know how many times I’ve written this, but here’s one more: if there is one thing we know how to do in New Orleans, it’s make a tasty drink. Oh, and we’re pretty good at drinking them, too. One of the classic New Orleans cocktails is the Mint Julep. I’ve actually had Mint Juleps in a lot of different cities but, I’ll tell you the truth, no one makes them like we do here (personal opinion: the best Mint Julep I’ve ever had was a Blueberry Mint Julep at Bourbon House). You can get a good Mint Julep in just about any bar in NOLA, like this one from Pat O’Brien’s. If you’re not visiting any time soon, try making your own New Orleans Mint Julep at home.
