You don’t have to be in Spain to experience the thrill of the Running of the Bulls. In fact, you don’t even have to leave New Orleans! Every year the NOLA Bulls host San Fermin in Nueva Orleans, a festival that pays homage to the famous Encierro of Pamplona or “The Running of the Bulls.” But, of course, this is New Orleans and everything is done just a little differently. Instead of live bulls, the San Fermin in Nueva Orleans bulls are members of the Big Easy Roller Girls on their skates. Being chased by good looking women sounds like a pretty good deal. This year, the Running of the Bulls will take place next Saturday, July 9. For a sneak peek into what the run will be like, check out this video.
