It’s time for one of my favorite New Orleans events: Bourbon and Burlesque, where delicious food, creative cocktails and daring entertainment are all brought together for an unbelievable event hosted at my favorite Warehouse District spot, the Contemporary Arts Center. The music, food and drinks in the phenomenal atmosphere of the CAC make for a great night that you don’t want to miss. So mark your calendars for June 18th!

Delicious Cuisine From Dickie Brennan’s Bourbon House

You will need a little food in your tummy to prepare for the phenomenal drinks. Thankfully, Dickie Brennan’s Bourbon House will be out bringing you life changing cuisine. Let’s all hope the Bourbon BBQ Shrimp and Seafood Boucherie makes an appearance! If the Chocolate Chunk Bread Pudding with bourbon sauce is there, expect yourself to go back for seconds.

Now that your belly is full, take a sip of some of the great cocktails featuring Blanton’s Buffalo Trace, Jack Daniel’s and Wild Turkey. Last year’s event was a fabulous mix of cocktails and cuisine that gets you ready to enjoy some burlesque.

Burlesque Troupes Get You Pumped Up!
Get ready for seven troupes creating the ultimate live performance experience with the fabulous art form of Burlesque. Expect to see phenomenal performances from Dames D’ Lish, Fleur de Tease, Queerlesque!, Reverend Spooky & Her Billion Dollar Baby Dolls, Slow Burn Burlesque and Storyville Starlettes. I’m really excited to see Crescent City Cupcakes, which is the newest New Orleans troupe.

At Bourbon and Burlesque you will get a chance to experience The Menagerie of Bebe Marie’s Odyssey, which will be a live performance piece, with a set made entirely from objects and artifacts of New Orleans past. In addition, the experience continues with Sarah the Bobcat’s Aerial Extravaganza along with music by Scandalous Chanteuse Anne Howe.

Don’t miss out on Bourbon and Burlesque! Food, Drinks, and Entertainment showcasing New Orleans talent — it’s definitely a great way to spend your Saturday!
