When you’re in New Orleans, anything goes. One of my favorite things to do when I was younger — ok, ok, and now — is to go down to the French Quarter and wander around like a tourist in my own city. One thing that I have always loved, that I haven’t ever seen in many other places, are the fortune tellers, tarot card readers and palm readers in Jackson Square. I have, on occasion, stopped and had my palm read or my fortune told and, even if it is a bunch of mumbo-jumbo, it was a great time! It may sound silly, but with a group of girlfriends, or even on a date, this can be a unique and funky way to spend your time.
So, next time you’re in NOLA, stop by Jackson Square to have your future read.
