New Orleans shopping on Magazine Street

Crazy for one of a kind gifts!

Plum is a fun little store located on New Orleans famed Magazine Street that carries “cool stuff for stylish living.” Owner Dannal Perry stocks items that she herself  likes which gives her store a very personal and whimsical feel. They have it all — from kitschy kitchen items such as fun and funky print towels to whimsical cocktail shakers that look like spray paint cans.  She sells a wide array of jewelry lines such as Glitter Lime Hot Cakes, based out of San Francisco. If you are looking for a festive topper to wear out for a birthday celebration, McNee hats are locally designed and fun to top off a costume or just a festive sundress.

Plum is the perfect place for gift shopping in New Orleans.  You can find cards, journals, housewares, jewelry, and accessories all in one stop. There are also plenty of retro nostalgia items including the Surprise Ball that was invented right here in New Orleans. The crepe paper ball unwinds to reveal fun prizes, confetti, and a fortune inside and is a great gift for kids of all ages.
