Guitar Slim, Jr., son of the famous Guitar Slim, has been playing music since he was a child. His repertoire is heavily reliant on his father and, in my personal opinion, he’s one of the better guitar players in the city of New Orleans. His shows are always a ton of fun and, if you’re a guitar fan, he’s someone you should absolutely see during Jazz Fest. Guitar Slim, Jr. will be playing in the Blues Tent at 12:25 on the second Friday (May 6) of Jazz Fest.
