Look y’all, packing is hard. Whenever I go on vacation (yes, sometimes I do leave New Orleans) I have to take into account the season, where I’m going, and whether or not my style will blend in with the locals or stand out like a sore thumb. For example, whenever I go hiking in the Grand Canyon, I certainly don’t want to lug around designer jeans and handbags with me in fear of looking like a fashion victim. I also like to think of safety first, and I don’t want to come across as an ignorant tourist – aka moving target – when I go to bigger cities.
So if you’ve never been here before, how do you know what to bring? Take a cue from the locals by keeping up with NOLA fashion bloggers. It’ll make figuring out what to pack a snap. Fortunately, New Orleans celebrates diversity, and most everyone fits in here, no matter what your style.
