It’s no secret that New Orleans marches to the tune of a drum that’s different from the rest of the country’s. Our rich culture is centered around our music, food and drink. We have our own way of celebrating, our own way of mourning, and our own way of doing business.
And we even have our own special way of networking: Eatventful: Delicious Networking Events. Started by New Orleans resident Leslie Almeida, Eatventful is open to anyone from students to working professionals to the unemployed, or even just those looking to make new and interesting friends.
This month, Eatvenful is being hosted by the fairly new restaurant addition to Magazine Street, Salú. Tapas has grown increasingly popular in the New Orleans area, and Salú knows how to get it right. I’m a fan of the bacon-wrapped dates, the lamb chop lollipops, and the ceviche. And I couldn’t forget to mention the delicious sangria and cocktails (I have taken quite a liking to the Pink Kiss).
The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. It’s easy to lose hours just shooting the breeze with a few friends over a couple of pitchers of sangria…especially outside. The outside seating is simply perfect for those days of people-watching on Magazine Street.
Eatventful will be held at Salú on Thursday, November 11th, starting at 6pm. Attendees are invited to mix, mingle, and enjoy some tasty hors d’oeuvres and delicious drink specials for only $10.
Check out the event info here for more info, and come on out. You could walk away with a few business connections, a few friends, and maybe even a few fabulous prizes to take home with you.
