One thing you can’t help but love about New Orleans is the music; it’s everywhere. As an added bonus, a lot of times you can listen for free, and let’s be honest, who doesn’t adore that. From street corners, to local bars, to music venues there is no shortage of tunes throughout the Crescent City. But in the summer on Friday nights there is only one place to be for an awesome and free musical performance and that place is Tipitina’s.

All summer long Tipitina’s invites music enthusiasts of all ages (18+) to join them for a free music experience.  However, don’t let the free aspect fool you into thinking the musical performance will be lacking. Tipitina’s hosts only the best of what the industry has to offer. In the past few weeks, talented musicians such as Gal Holiday & the Honky Tonk Revue, Country Fried, Walter “Wolfman” Washington, Honey Island Swamp Band, The Tangle, Johnny Sketch & the Dirty Notes and Mia Borders have taken the stage and pleasured the packed room with their melodies.

Foundation Free Fridays at Tip’s are made possible thanks to the amazing Tipitina’s Foundation whose mission is to support Louisiana and New Orleans’ matchless music community. The Tipitina’s Foundation wants you to share in their passion for musicians and what better way to do that than to invite you to stand back, listen, and enjoy for free!

If I haven’t gotten you excited yet, hold onto your seat because tonight (July 30) two New Orleans favorites are coming to Tipitina’s, Papa Gross Funk and The Revivalists! Grab your friends and head over to Tipitina’s, a New Orleans music institution, for a Fun-filled Free Friday night of rocking out. The show starts at 10PM and the room fills up with music devotees rather quickly so don’t be late!
